We want everyone using maternity and neonatal services in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin to know about the Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) and feel empowered to share their experiences.

Whether you're a parent, professional, or community supporter, your voice matters.

We're especially keen to connect with:

• Black, Asian, mixed, and minority ethnic communities

• Disabled and neurodivergent individuals

• LGBTQIA+ families

• Dads, partners, and grandparents

• Young parents

• Families in rural areas or experiencing social or economic challenges

Your experiences help us improve care for everyone.

Ways to Get Involved

We welcome all levels of involvement—no pressure or time commitment. Here are some ways you can get involved:

• Share the word: Distribute flyers or mention us at baby groups.

• Promote us: Share our social media or feedback survey.

• Pass on feedback: Tell us what you’re hearing (with permission).

• Join a meeting: Friendly, online quarterly meetings (kids welcome!).

• Volunteer skills: Become an MNVP Volunteer.

• Support projects: Help shape resources or join experience groups.

Volunteer Roles

We’ve got two main volunteer roles you can get involved with:

• Participation Volunteer: If you prefer to share your thoughts and views from the comfort of your own home, this is the perfect role for you. We can communicate in the way that suits you best.

• Engagement Volunteer: If you’d like to get out and about in the community and chat with other service users at groups and events, this role is for you. It requires a bit more commitment and some basic training, but we’ll provide support and everything you need.
